I have many articles (about 190) that are in word doc format that must be added my wordpress knowledgebase site.
Here are the steps:
1) Click Knowledge Base tab on the left nav in admin.
2) Click "New Articles"
3) Title = [Animal] Care Sheet (i.e. Bearded Dragon Care Sheet)
4) Add all content from the document to the content area (the spacing may seem weird, please remove the extra spaces between paragraphs)
5) Move the Link (near top of the page) to the bottom in this format: Site: http://www.website.com/directory/li
6) Make that link click to a new page by selecting it, then click the link icon in the tool bar. There is a box that says "Open link in new window/tab" - click that
7) Select the categories that the document belongs in. For example: Cane Toad is in both the Toad and Amphibian categories. Please select both.
8) In the tags area, add words related to the name of the animal, for example: Cane Toad, Toad, Marine Toad, Giant Toad, Bufo marinus (all the name you need will be in the doc)
9) Add images from images folder by clicking "Add media" Make sure to select Size Medium (300px) or Large (if large is 300px or less) - Also, Align Left and Link to None
10) Under Discussion area, select Allow Comments
Review each page live after all data entered
It may seem like a lot, however I can get these each done in about 2-3 minutes.
